Skinny Lunch

The series consists of photographs that visualize poverty and modesty. I chose one or two items to symbolize the humble way of living as a poor individual. Though the theme is modest, I wanted to realise the photographs in a rich, colourful, baroque-style way. Items are big and voluminous, the background dark and festive. The items that I picked for this photoshoot were very small and a kind of trash: for example, old soap, a piece of bread with mould, rotten milk and a worn-out pump.
